The people I work with at the clinic and in the community can speak from abundant experience, but barriers such as digital illiteracy, transportation, and competing priorities often prevent them from advocating for themselves fully. This gap is greatest when it comes to connecting with young people. As a young person who has worked on community-, state-, and national-level health projects, I can help bridge the gap between the needs of my community and the complex process required to fulfill those needs.
